Kangaroos Hopping All Around!
Here's one of our big favorites, Kangaroos Hopping All Around, performed with friends at The Lansdowne Farmer's Market for their Children's Day Event in Summer. I like this song because of its' high energy and gross motor movements. It gives me the opportunity at times to reinforce the distinction between hopping, running, galloping, skipping and walking. Sometimes it wears them down a little, which isn't all that bad either!
Where Is Thumbkin?
Here is "Where Is Thumbkin?" including Every One AND No One!! This song is great for fine motor skills in addition to the count down. We do this one often following a gross motor activity like a "freeze Dance" into our Show And Tell Instrument time. Miming "No One" at the end really helps get the kiddies focused!
